金州勇士「咖哩小子」Stephen Curry是當紅炸子雞，他那球員出身的老爸Dell Curry也與有榮焉，Dell於7日受訪時分享兒子當年參加夏洛特山貓（現黃蜂）試訓時的往事。
Dell透露，那是2009年6月4號，Stephen接受的第一個試訓，就是家鄉球隊的試煉，當時的對手包括來自杜克大學的Gerald Henderson、北卡大學的Danny Green等未來之星。
Dell坦承，當時緊張的不是兒子，而是老爸。
「一個年輕的孩子碰到這種情況，應該會有點緊張。」Dell說：「但他看起來一點也不焦慮，我比他更緊張。」
當時山貓籃球事務主席Rod Higgins表示，那次的試訓是他看過最激烈的一次，教頭「布朗爺」Larry Brown也認為這批新秀技巧出色，競爭激烈。
「當我們結束測試，我就確信他將來會是一位很棒的NBA球員。」Dell說。
事隔6年，Stephen已經成為NBA的年度MVP，現在還有希望摘下老爸16年球員生涯都沒達成的成就，NBA總冠軍。
